| Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order. All orders are subject to Froude Hofmann Conditions of Sale FHTAC2010 a copy of which is available on request. We accept Visa and Master Card credit Card payment. If you are shopping outside the UK, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency as appropriate. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order, it does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will separately acknowledge the order, this will advise estimated despatch date, and will indicate that a contract exists between us. We reserve the right to ship part orders where appropriate, in this event we will not apply the minimum order charge to each shipment, this will apply to the complete order only. | Shipping And Handling Unless otherwise agreed, any packaging supplied by us will be to our standard specification which should be adequate for the normal incidence of competent handling, covered transport and short term indoor storage in a temperate climate. If any additional protection is required you should specify this before the contract is made (additional charges may apply) |
| Delivery Schedule Our software checks stock levels once each day, thus the stated stock level may be incorrect if we have received other orders for that part subsequent to the daily stock check. Some components need to be configured to suit your application. We will check stock levels and configuration requirements on receipt of your order, and advise estimated delivery date on order acknowledgement . To minimise delays please ensure that you advise the original serial number of your equipment with order. We do not accept any liabilities for consequential or other losses due to late or incorrect delivery, our total liabilities under this contract will be limited to the value of the contract. |
| Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back-order for you, and will advise estimated delivery time. If the estimated delivery time is not acceptable to you, please advise us so that we can seek an alternative solution. If we are unable to comply with your needs we will email you with an option to cancel that part of the order. |
| Tax Charges For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free. |
| Credit Card Security When the order is placed at our website, all credit card details are entered directly into our payment providers systems, we do not see, store or retain any credit card details. Credit card details entered are not held in clear text on any web site. |
| Guarantee Our spare parts are covered by 90 day warranty (subject to correct usage and application). In the event of failure, please return the item to us, packaged to suit the transport method, stating your order number and date of order, and the nature and symptom of faults. We will either repair or replace at our option and return the unit to you at our cost , or in the event that the failure has been determined to have been caused by Customer action, we will advise you of rectification costs. In the case of goods received damaged pre-delivery or in transit, or with any shortages, please notify us as soon as possible and in any event within seven days of receipt. Where we have agreed to be responsible for carriage, you must give us such notice within the time period to enable us to give notice to the carriers within any timescale prescribed by them - typically 3 days. Failure to notify us as above, or failure to preserve the relevant products and their packaging, will entitle us to disclaim any liability that we might otherwise have incurred, if in the circumstances that it is reasonable if before you open any package containing our products you observe damage to it or anything else which makes it likely that damage may have occurred to the contents we would recommend that you advise us before opening the package, so that we can arrange for a joint inspection or otherwise take steps to verify the situation. It is important that the customer provides details for the subject equipmnent including serial numbers, in the event that such identification is not provided we may quote our generic standards however if this results in error then Froude Hofmann cannot accept responcibility for any such errors that directly relate to unavailable or incorrect equipment identification. |
